Using Scent as a Lucid Dreaming Trigger - (October 13, 2024, 11:45:18 PM)

Hey lucid dreamers! I've been experimenting with using scents to trigger lucid dreams, and I'm blown away by the results. I've been putting a drop of lavender oil on my wrist before bed, and in my dreams, when I smell lavender, it's like a switch flips and I become lucid. It's been way more effective than other methods I've tried. Has anyone else used smell as a lucid dream trigger? What scents have worked for you? I'm curious if different smells might trigger different types of lucid dreams. Maybe citrus for energetic dreams and vanilla for calm ones? Let's share our aromatic adventures and see if we can sniff out some new lucid dreaming techniques!

Using scent as a trigger for lucid dreaming sounds so unique! I’ve never tried it, but I imagine a strong smell could work just like any other anchor.

I wonder how reliable scent is as a trigger compared to visual or sound cues. Has anyone here had success with it?

This idea is fascinating! I’ve never thought about smells triggering lucid dreams. It would be cool to try with a familiar scent like lavender or something relaxing.
