Recognizing that you’re dreaming is key to becoming lucid. Many people use reality checks, like pinching their nose and trying to breathe through it. In dreams, the rules of reality often don’t apply. Things might look strange or feel off. For instance, you might see a clock showing different times every time you look at it. I often realize I’m dreaming when I see something odd, like people acting strangely. It’s like a little clue that makes me go, “Wait, this isn’t real.” Anyone else notice things like that?

I use reality checks, like trying to push my finger through my palm. It helps me figure out if I’m dreaming. It took a while, but now I notice it more often!

For me, dreams feel weird sometimes. Like, I can’t quite remember how I got to a certain place. That makes me think, “Hey, I must be dreaming!”

I find that looking at clocks helps. They don’t make sense in dreams, so when I see one acting funny, I know I’m dreaming.
