I’ve noticed that some people can recall their dreams vividly every morning, while others never seem to remember anything. Is there a scientific explanation behind why some people remember their dreams more easily than others? Does it have to do with sleep patterns, brain activity, or something else entirely?

I’ve had the same issue—never remembering my dreams. I’ve read that it might be linked to how deeply we sleep or our brain’s activity during REM sleep. Some people suggest keeping a dream journal and practicing recall exercises to improve dream memory.

From what I understand, not remembering dreams could be due to a lack of focus or interest in them. If you don’t actively try to recall your dreams, your brain might not retain them. Trying to remember right when you wake up might help.

I’ve read that people who are under a lot of stress or have irregular sleep patterns often remember fewer dreams. Creating a consistent sleep routine and reducing stress might help in improving dream recall.

It might also depend on the sleep cycle. Some people wake up during REM sleep, which is when dreams are more likely to be remembered. If you’re waking up during different stages of sleep, it could affect dream recall.
