I think stress and anxiety play a big role in nightmares. Whenever I’m overwhelmed, I tend to have more bad dreams. It’s like my mind is processing everything in my sleep.

It’s probably related to what’s happening in your life. When I went through a rough patch, my nightmares were almost constant. I guess our brains try to deal with emotions through dreams.

I’ve read that diet and sleep habits can influence nightmares. For me, eating too late or sleeping in a hot room usually triggers them. Anyone else notice similar patterns?

Some people are just more sensitive to negative emotions, I think. My sibling rarely has nightmares, but I get them often, especially after watching scary movies or reading intense books.

I’ve heard that people with PTSD or trauma history might experience more nightmares. It’s like their brain is trying to work through difficult experiences in sleep.

Nightmares can be really random for me. Sometimes they’re triggered by stress, other times they just come out of nowhere. I guess it’s a mix of mental state and things we’ve seen or experienced.
