Some of my dreams feel so vivid that I can almost feel, smell, or taste things as if they were real, while others are blurry and nonsensical. What makes certain dreams feel so much more realistic than others? Is it tied to the different stages of sleep or something else?

Dreams that feel more real often occur during deep REM sleep, where brain activity is high and vivid dreaming happens. Factors like emotional intensity and the level of detail in a dream can also make it feel more realistic.

Sometimes, dreams that seem more real might be linked to our current emotional state or stress levels. If you’re feeling particularly strong emotions or anxiety, your dreams might become more intense and lifelike.

I’ve noticed that dreams with strong sensory details, like touch or smell, tend to feel more real. It’s like my brain is fully immersing me in the experience, making it seem almost like reality.
