I've recently stumbled upon an interesting technique involving scents to enhance dream recall and even induce specific dream themes. The process involves exposing yourself to a particular scent before sleep and again immediately upon waking. I've tried this with lavender and found that it significantly improved my ability to remember dreams. Even more intriguingly, when I used a sea breeze scent, I had vivid dreams about oceans and beaches! Has anyone else experimented with aromatherapy in relation to dreaming? What scents have you tried, and what were the results? I'm curious about the science behind this - how exactly does our sense of smell interact with our dreaming mind?

I’ve noticed certain scents like lavender help me remember my dreams better. Maybe it triggers something in my memory while I sleep.

I’ve tried using essential oils before bed, and it does seem to influence my dreams. They’re more vivid when I use scents like sandalwood.

Scent as a dream trigger is fascinating! I’m curious if it could also help with lucid dreaming, like creating a specific scent associated with realizing you’re dreaming.
