I’ve been learning a new language, and recently I started dreaming in it. It’s really weird because I’m not fluent, but in the dream, I seem to understand everything. Has anyone else experienced this? Why do we sometimes dream in languages we’re still learning? I’d love to hear your experiences and thoughts on what this could mean about how our brains process languages and dreams!

I’ve had dreams in different languages too! I think it’s because our brains are still processing the language even when we sleep. It’s fascinating.

Same here! I’m learning French, and I once dreamt I was speaking fluently, but I couldn’t understand myself when I woke up. So weird!

I used to have dreams in Spanish when I was taking classes. I felt like my brain was trying to help me practice. Do you think it helps with learning?

Yes! I dream in English sometimes, and I’m not a native speaker. It’s like our brains are trying to immerse us even while sleeping.

I’ve never had that happen, but it sounds so cool! I wonder if I need to study more before bed to make it happen.
