Do Pets Dream the Same Way as Humans? - (September 25, 2024, 12:00:00 AM)

It’s a fun idea to think about, but do pets dream like we do? I’ve seen my dog twitching and moving while sleeping, which made me wonder if animals have complex dreams like humans. Maybe they’re chasing a ball or reliving their daily activities. Does anyone have any insights or observations about how animals might experience dreams?

I’ve always wondered about this too! My cat twitches in her sleep like she’s chasing something. It really makes me think they dream just like we do. I’d love to know more about the science behind it!

I’ve read that dogs go through the same sleep cycles as humans, including REM. So, they probably do dream! Maybe they dream about playing fetch or barking at the mailman.

My dog sometimes growls in his sleep, so I bet he’s dreaming about chasing squirrels or something. It’s cool to think that pets could experience their own little adventures while sleeping.
